Introduction

Within a project of the Philippine spiritual healer, the Reverend Alex Orbito, the healing and recreational center "The Pyramid of Asia Healing Center", having a pyramid as its central building, has been created in the Philippine province of Pangasinan, close to the town of Manoag.

Construction began in June 1999. Upon termination of the base plate a supporting frame was erected for the installation of the four main pillars.

The main pillars were erected in mid-June.

Further construction and termination of the external installations took a total of six months of construction time.

About the Pyramid

Pyramid-of-Asia-1.JPG (16569 Byte) The "Pyramid of Asia" is a "living" pyramid, erected in the magnetic north-south axis and, although of smaller size, in its proportions, an exact replica of the Egyptian models. On the basis of its geometrical form it is to focus the terrestrial and cosmic energies and to create a room of strong and balanced energy fields in its interior.

For the Philippine spiritual healers and their patients the pyramid is a means of taking in these energies into the human body and as a place of harmony, relaxation and meditation.

Only natural building materials that are not electrically conductive were allowed to be used in the area below the metal roof top and above the floor. The pyramid is here constructed from wood and natural stone, having no metal connecting elements whatsoever.

This is a challenge to construction planning, as people in the province of Pangasinan have to reckon with heavy earthquakes and typhoons. The pyramid is planned to resist to wind speeds up to 200 km/h also under these circumstances.

Even the heavy turn-up entrance gate has been made without any metal connecting elements and without any metal joints.

Grand Opening

24 Philippine and international healers participated and 10 lecturers offered seminars in the "1st Philippine International Healing Festival & Seminar", which took place from 25 to 30 November 1999, following a six-month construction period, opened the pyramid to the public with international delegations from Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Germany, France, Ireland, Italy, Lithuania, the Netherlands, the Philippines, Portugal, Sweden, Switzerland, Slovenia, Spain, the Czech Republic and the USA attending.

To open the pyramid, Fidel V. Ramos, President of the Philippines from 1992 till 1998, cuts the ribbon together with Mrs Orbito, the Rev. Alex Orbito and Marika Verheijen, the co-chairwoman of the festival. Pyramid-of-Asia-4.JPG (16547 Byte)
Pyramid-of-Asia-5.JPG (21326 Byte) In his opening address Dieter Loewer, the German architect of the pyramid, explains the energetic mechanisms acting in the pyramid and goes into more detail with regards to the planning period from 1993 till 1999.

Mr Loewer offers his congratulations to the Rev. Alex Orbito, his closing words being: "May the Divine Almighty always protect this place of harmony, hope and healing."

Place of hope:

Hundreds of Philippine citizens visit the pyramid during the days of the festival.
